The Photography of Artwork

I know a lot of good artists. One thing they always seek is a good photography of their work. Here is a selection of artists who work in various different media and the photography work I have done for them. Lighting art can be simple copy lighting and it can be complex product or even portraiture style lighting. It depends entirely on the artist and the art. In most cases questioning the artist for his or her needs and then listening to the artwork can make the difference between good shots and great shots. Great shots help the artist get noticed, sell pieces, and get more work. I also hold small classes in San Francisco and Palo Alto that teach artists to photograph their own artwork with their own digital cameras.
