Fly fishing, Weston, Vermont, August. Difficult assignment: 75 degrees...Overcast...No wind...No fish. We dusted off the traveling salesmen jokes. Finally, we had to slip out a couple worms totally against Trout Club Regulations. For the photo I resisted the urge to use a Fish-Eye lens.

Portrait of Elizabeth at 14 was made for her Mother’s birthday and to test out the digital studio I built at Solzer in 2004. We gave her a real professional retouch job from Darian Schmitt in the retouching department, not that she really needed it at 14... At first the final image scared Elizabeth but constant exposure to teen magazines has tempered her apprehensions.
